Is there a link to name pronounciations for Sidroc the Dane -? Just want to assure I have them correct, particularly Jorild, Gillaug, Ingirith, and Ulfhildr. Liking this book a lot so far…Thank-you. Nancy.

You are so correct, Nancy, it is about time to make another video! Thank you for suggesting this. In the meantime, I bet you have a pretty good idea of how these Norse names are spoken. You will have an idea that “G” and “J” are oftentimes voiced as a “Y”. (for example, he modern Swedish man’s name, Jann, is thus spoken “Yahn”)

      Jorild is “Yor-ild”
      Gillaug is “Yill-og”
Ingirith is pretty much just as it looks – “Ing – er – ith”
Same with little Ulfhildr, this is “Ulf- hild – er”(with that last “er” said quickly, barely voiced)

I hope this is helpful…and I will make that video.
